Subject: Using the Search tool to find images of interest. (A Tutorial)

Searching the Photo Library on the Angelo Consulting Web Site.

The photo library is growing to a large volume of images, but finding a photograph is easy using the build in WEB Site Search tool.

Background:  When images are uploaded to the WEB site, only the file's Name, Date, and Size are recorded with the file.
Digital camera's auto create file names from random numbers.  For example, my Nikon camera creates file names like DSCN4849.JPG.

The WEB sites photo library software allows me to save additional information with each photograph I upload, so I can add a Title or
Caption and add KEY WORDS for the search engine to search on.  So when I upload a photograph of Melissa holding Jenna at a
birthday party, I add the key words 'melissa' , 'jenna' , and 'birthday '.  Now I can use the key word search tool to find images of
Melissa and Jenna.

The search tool compares key words you enter, with the key words I assigned to images and image folders, and then displays a page
showing hyperlinks to all images and folders found with matching key words.

In the example below, I entered carlie as my key word to search for; which resulted in a page of hyperlinks I
can then click on to view images that were given the key word carlie.

After I click on one of the hyperlinks, my browser is taken to the section of the WEB that holds that image.  If you want to see the
other images that were taken at the same time or event, select the tool bar option "Go Back to Picture Library ", and your browser
will display all the images in that current library.   (Tool bar shown below )

Good hunting and thanks for using the WEB Site.
